[VACCINESIBLE] is a modular health infrastructure project designed in response to the urgent need for accessible and adaptable spaces during and after pandemics. As cities face increasing challenges related to accessibility, safety, and sustainability, this project proposes a mobile, single-floor unit with seven flexible zones that can be easily reconfigured according to changing public health needs. In times of crisis, when movement is restricted and people feel unsafe leaving their homes, it becomes essential to create spaces that are both easy to reach and psychologically comforting—familiar environments where individuals feel secure. In Turkey, city centers are the most accessible locations for priority groups, making them ideal for such interventions.
The design functions like a puzzle, maximizing spatial efficiency while allowing for smooth circulation and clear zoning. These zones include an Info Point to share vital information about the pandemic and vaccination process, laboratories for diagnostics, designated vaccination areas, hygiene-focused smart systems, and a central storage area for vaccine logistics. The system emphasizes not only functionality but also emotional and psychological well-being—providing a space that helps people feel oriented and safe during moments of uncertainty. [VACCINESIBLE] highlights the role of urban design in public health, offering a scalable, human-centered model for future preparedness and care infrastructure.
